The week in Alghero is already gone. The program was intense. A week during which we all had the opportunity to strenghten our relationships and work together on the common goals.

We had been blessed by beautiful weather except than the day when we had to clean up the beach: no problem though! We were able to carry out the activity the following day in the amazing scenario of Porto Conte!

Although the participants started to arrive in Alghero since Saturday, the “official” activities started on Monday with the Welcome Ceremony:

On Tuesday we were supposed to clean up the beach, and we were optimistic, we arrived at the beach but it started raining so intensely, that we had to postpone the activity!

In the afternoon, however, we reconvened at the school where Mrs Pigò held a workshop on how to transform marine litter into artwork! And we all had a great time.

On Wednesday, we visited Porto Conte Park, guided by the Park’s guides who provided information on the flora and fauna and the Marine Protected Area.

In the afernoon we finally were able to carry on the beach clean up!

On Thursday morning we visited the Archeological Museum and Nuragica Exhibition and the COral Museum that provided interesting insights on the Sardinia territory.

Teachers and Ngo’s reps met up at lunch time to discuss about the projects and add-ons to the website

In the afternoon we held a data analysis and presentation workshop for the students.

On Friday we visited the archaeological sites of Palmavera and Anghelu Ruju:

We had the Closing Ceremony

And the meeting with Alghero’s Mayor
